Open letter to the government and everyone in it (that means you)

This world is so big but its people are so small. You’re sharing a planet with six billion of them. It might be a good idea to be friendly. Do we really need more war? Is that the only way to solve a problem? “Agree with me or I’ll kill you.” The only words our military knows. Our people are fragile. Remember that the next time you fight. He may be your soldier but it’s his family who cries when he dies. It may be your war but it’s the children who bleed for it. You swindle them in “be all you can be.” Does that include “dead”? You don’t get it, do you? You need us, we don’t need you. You’re around for a reason, to do a job. Serve your purpose and move on. Pass some laws or write a bill. Make it for the people, not your rich buddies; they don’t need your help. Those who need your help are the hungry and the kids who wear gas masks to school. America is so beautiful. Don’t become another scar. But you will. You’re just another scar to be replaced by a scab and healed. But the scab never heals. It only gets infected and gets worse. We don’t need you. Don’t you get it? It’s people who have the power, or at least it used to be.
