Open letter to the government and everyone in it (that means you)
This world is so big but its people are so small. You’re sharing a planet with six billion of them. It might be a good idea to be friendly. Do we really need more war? Is that the only way to solve a problem? “Agree with me or I’ll kill you.” The only words our military knows. Our people are fragile. Remember that the next time you fight. He may be your soldier but it’s his family who cries when he dies. It may be your war but it’s the children who bleed for it. You swindle them in “be all you can be.” Does that include “dead”? You don’t get it, do you? You need us, we don’t need you. You’re around for a reason, to do a job. Serve your purpose and move on. Pass some laws or write a bill. Make it for the people, not your rich buddies; they don’t need your help. Those who need your help are the hungry and the kids who wear gas masks to school. America is so beautiful. Don’t become another scar. But you will. You’re just another scar to be replaced by a scab and healed. But the scab never heals. It only gets infected and gets worse. We don’t need you. Don’t you get it? It’s people who have the power, or at least it used to be.

I watched the watchmen
So I saw the Watchmen movie on saturday. I heard good and bad stuff about it but decided to see it anyway just because I was looking forward to it for so long. I am glad to say I was surprised. There were some changes but nothing that was that big. The changed ending worked. Not as well as the original but it still worked. Some things were taken out to make it shorter (like the death of Hollis Mason) but it will be out in the 3 hour director's cut DVD. So what have we learned here? Although a lot of comic book movies suck the readers must be open to new ideas. Its just a movie so die-hard fans (like myself) should calm the fuck down.

The death of a hero
Like a lot of people my age, I got into punk late. People were calling it "Dead" while I was listening to my first Green Day song. My personal beliefs about it is that its not dead but has changed. It still lives with Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, and others. So after a while I found out about the father of punk Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols. But before I could memorize the lyrics to God Save the Queen people were telling me he was a sellout. I don't know what to think. There's no deny it, there's proof. But that doesn't make everything he said irrelevant. Does it? I'd like to think not, but an still pondering it myself. Anyway, my main point is why are people surprised. Iggy Pop did an insurance commercial. Ozzy was in a Warcraft commercial. If you watch your heroes long enough they'll eventually do something you don't like. But I say don't let their new actions counter the old. Johnny Rotten was a rebel no one would stop. Remember him for that, not the stupid butter commercial. Sure, he did it, but don't let it ruin your image of him. Some people argue that he Sold out. I say Johnny Rotten did not, John Lydon did.

V-day, no, not the 5th of november
So I hate valentine's day just like any guy who can never get any pussy. But I'm not going to get in that because you've heard all the rants and complaints about it before. But there is one thing that I just don't get about the holiday. Okay, I don't get it at all but one thing I really don't understand. I've been lonely on V-day so I know what it feels like. Why the fuck do lonely people buy themselves chocolate on v-day? They can lie to their friends and say its from a "secret admirer" but they still know who really sent it to them. So why go and buy yourself chocolates to lie to yourself. I just took a hard look at myself and said the following:
"Tomorrow is valentine's day. I know you're gonna be pretty miserable, but you shouldn't. Relationships aren't for everyone at anytime. You should be ready for it. But whatever I say won't mean shit. But just try not to feel too bad and remember hate day is the day after. So fuck the normies, you're you and that's gonna pay off someday."

Hate Day 09
Hello all. Have you ever felt left out of valentine's day? Have you even looked at a couple with envy? Then valentine's day must be coming up. But fear not, there is a cure. A cure to all the times you have felt alone or less than someone else on V-day. It is another holiday called Hate Day. It occurs February 15th, the day after V-day. I created it to counter all the evils of the day before it. Please join me in celebrating being alone. Celebrate your independence from expectations and exercise your ability to let yourself go. So say "no" to pairing up for no reason. Chances are the relationship will fail anyway. I am tired of feeling like a freak every year. Please join me in celebrating single life.

An unforgettable inauguration
If you saw Obama's inauguration you would probably agree with me that is was very boring. If I were in charge I would have made it a little more interesting. Imagine Obama taking his oath and then a ninja swoops in. Obama then fights him using presidential king-fu making the ninja flee in shame. Then after that a dinosaur enters the scene. The dinosaur says "Grr, McCain mad, McCain wanted to win election." Obama also fights the dinosaur causing him to leave and an unforgettable inauguration.

Selling out
I am tired of people labeling bands as “sellouts” or “posers” just because they made some money. What band does not want to make money? That just shows they are getting a bigger audience and spreading their message. It also happens when a band gets merchandise. I’ll admit that an anti-establishment band should not be about merchandise. But there is still the money thing. Would you be able to resist thousands of dollars (probably more) to just put your logo on a t-shirt and crap? I don’t think I could. These guys are making top dollar for doing nothing. Isn’t that the American dream? So stop yelling “poser” whenever a band gets popular or makes some money. It’s what bands set out to do. Sure, they do it for the music and stuff too. But they cannot say the groupies, money and fame did not play a part in the decision to form a band. So whenever I have an entry that doesn’t fill up much of the page I’m going to put one of these mini-rants. It serves to fill up the page and to rant about something I could never write a full entry about. See you next time.

Wikipedia has everything
Sometimes when I'm bored I bullshit around Wikipedia. I look up stuff I already know just to see what Wikipedia has on it. But nothing prepared me for this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Living_people
Wikipedia has a page listing living people. I am serious. I didn't think you would believe me without the link. But there it is So check it out. You can see it in subcategories, but at the very bottom of the page there is a full list. Do people actually look at that list? Do people actually read the list to see who is still alive? Wow, that's all I can say.
